About This Item

Monogram Aviation Publications, 1976-01-01. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good++/in illustrated wraps. Two volume Softcover Set, (Part One and Part Two) Volume 1 (ISBN-0914144065) First Edition Monogram Aviation Publications 1976 32 pages. Very Good++, in illustrated wraps. Only flaw is the previous owner name on the title page. 12 color photographs, 58 B&W photographs, 6 line drawings, one three-view, one two-view and a two page side view of 8 different types. Volume 2 (ISBN-0914144073) First Edition Monogram Aviation Publications 1977 32 pages. Very Good++, in illustrated wraps. Only flaw is the previous owner name on the inside front cover. 56 B&W photographs, 7 color illustrations, one three-view, one two-view, 3 line drawings and a two page side view of 5 types. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to covers of both volumes. This is a two-part Monogram Close-up set, part one is concerned with the early production models of the Gustav Messerschmitt 109G up to the most ubiquitous models while part two concludes the essay, covering the lesser known photo-reconnaissance series to the final interceptors. Students of German aviation will be familiar with our preference for noting Messerschmitt 109G as the Bf 109G since the "Bf" denoting Bayerische Flugzeugwerke AG appears more frequently in official German records than the "Me" designation. Numerous B & W and color photographs. Previous owner was John Molinari, R. O. (A.I.) 8th, R.A.F. & 9th Air Force. Invaluable to Aviation historians and modelers. LOC SM-11
