About This Item
Alhambra, California: [Self Published], 1947. [First Edition] NAP. Short 8vo., 87pp., black & white drawings. -- "2 editions published in 1947 in English and held by 5 libraries worldwide".-worldcat. The author on tobacco as the cause of infantile paralysis: "To date the medical profession has not found the cause of this disease, although it has done much research work. My contention is that infantile paralysis is hereditary and that the cause of this disease is tobacco, liquor, and venereal diseases. I ask, has there ever been known a case of paralysis where grandfather and father were abstainers. I think you will find that the disease comes only through the generation of tobacco users and liquor users of a parent who has had venereal disease. I contend that even one of these evils can cause the disease and that tobacco is the number one cause. When tobacco is as evil a thing as it is, it can cause most any disease".-bkcvr.
