A very good copy with a little wear on the edges of the spine and covers, the blank back cover is slightly soiled, and there is some browning on blank leaves preceding the title-page and on one-side of the fifth double-leaf which contains text. The sub-title on the front cover is "A Book of Methods." The book is printed on double leaves folded in Chinese style.. First Edition. Spiral Bound. Very Good. 12 1/8" x 9 3/8".

San Francisco, CA: Camera Craft Publishing Company, 1936. Second edition. Softcover. Published in the same year as the original edition. While Mortensen is largely known for his technical books on how to photograph he was an accomplished photographer and this is his best known book. Includes numerous black and white and color images. A clean very near fine copy in spiral bound wrappers with some very minor wear and some toning and in a near fine two part cardboard shipping carton that has some minor wear. Very uncommon in this condition.
