Helena, MT: Arthur Canning, Landscape Photographer, 1890. Boudoir cabinet card. Albumen photograph [11.5 cm x 19 cm] / [4.5 " x 7.5"] on a tan mount [13 cm x 20.5 cm] / [5" x 8"] with a Canning backstamp. Gentle overall sunning. Nice image showing a group of people and horses around a barn with limber stacked in the background. Arthur Canning (1864-1952) worked as a photographer in Helena (1888-1892) before relocating to western Canada where he worked as a photographer for another two decades.
