A two volume set which has been rebound in plain, dark blue buckram with no titling on cover; new, plain end papers and rather unattractive plain white hinge tape. Books are illustrated with seventeen pages of engravings which are hand-coloured, Volume I has 175 pages; Volume II has 282 pages. Covers are clean and tight with rounded corners, text block edges and page edges are darkened, foxing spots throughout; twenty or so pages following the table of contents in Volume I have stains and creases to lower free corner, as well as a few pages in Volume II; on the half-title page there is an ink inscription that reads "For W.
