The first book in the the Brother Cadfael series of mysteries set in England during the middle ages. First edition first state with duplicate line printed on page 97. Very good in good dust jacket. Small stain to bottom edge of front board near spine, book slightly cocked. Dust jacket has small indentation and wrinkling to front panel, wrinkling to rear panel, Some lettering on front panel rubbed, verso of jacket has abrasions with some paper loss possibly from removal of old dust jacket cover material.
