New York: United States Publishing Company, 1874. First Edition. 225pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Green beveled edge cloth with the title gilt stamped on the front board and backstrip. Very good. With map frontispiece of northern Utah and nine tipped-in plates. Narrative of the author's three months stay in Utah with descriptions of Salt Lake, Corrine, Logan, Ogden, Brigham Young, the local culture, mining, agriculture, and other matters. Not an entirely flattering work on the locals. Eberstadt 106: 234. Flake/Draper 2422.
