Basis for the 1947 film noir, directed by Gregory Ratoff, and starring Peggy Cummins, Victor Mature, Ethel Barrymore, and Vincent Price.
Very Good plus in a Very Good dust jacket. Vintage bookseller label to the rear pastedown. Slight lean, with light foxing to the page edges and light offsetting to the endpapers. Jacket spine lightly faded, with light toning to the flap edges, and light chipping to the extremities.
Selby US. Silver and Ward Classis Noir. Spicer US.
