Elliott Roosevelt (second son of FDR) to a non-combat unit in WW2, with a graphic contrasting Roosevelt's cushy assignment with the life of ordinary soldiers in the trenches. The author/publisher identifies himself as a veteran of the Oregon Volunteers in the Spanish-American War of 1898. OCLC 1 copy (Univ. Alberta).
