Boston: Chicago Cram Standard Book Co, 1894. Hardback. Good/No dust jacket.. Chicago Cram Standard Book Co, Boston, Mass. 1894. New and enlarged edition with 450 illustrations. Original copyright by Standard Columbian Co 1881. Book condition: Good. Some shelf wear and corners bumped. Red boards with black & gold decoration to front and spine. Boards a little soiled and spine slightly discoloured. Gutter at front hinge cracking but binding sound. Black ink mark to ffep. A few corners lightly creased and occasional light soiling. No dust jacket. Rhymes and jingles to delight children's ears and delight their eager eyes. The author believed that to put facts in such form would attract the attention of little ones, and be readily fixed in their memory. Mother Truth's Melodies are "introduced with the hope that this effort to entertain children with rhyming reason will meet with the approval of every lover of the young, and of truth."
