London: T Werner Laurie Ltd, 1935. No dustwrapper, some fading to spine of red boards but black titles thereon are still clear, as are those on front board. Minor bumping to spine ends and corners, a previous owner's name inside front board, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The story deals with the rise to riches and power of a farm labourer's son who becomes as crooked and corrupt as all the other businessmen. Originally published in 1930, this is a slightly later reprint from January 1935. 312pp.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
