Edward Arnold & Co., 1937. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1937. First Edition. 320 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages are rough cut. Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with tiny dark spots and a few small nicks along text block edge. Slight tearing and peeling to paste-down. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges. Book has a prominent forward lean and slight bow. Small splits to spine ends. Liquid drops on all surfaces.
