The folded sheets contain a facsimile of the the original manuscript. Polished dark brown leather with blind stamp and gilt decoration. The slip-case has similar leather decoration to the sides, and stands on a wooden plinth; 34cm (tall) x 23.5cm (long) x 12.5cm (wide at the base). ** The first English edition of The Mountain Wreath was published in 1930, in the translation by the first English lector in the newly founded Department of English at the University of Belgrade, James W Wiles. The Mountain Wreath is a poem and a play written by Prince-Bishop and poet Petar II.Njegos wrote The Mountain Wreath during 1846 in Cetinje and published it the following year after the printing in an Armenian monastery in Vienna. It is a modern epic written in verse as a play, thus combining three of the major modes of literary expression. It is considered a masterpiece of Serbian and Montenegrin literature. .
