New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1914. First Edition. Hardcover. Ex library. 439 p. 24 cm. 2 maps and 219 b/w photos of mountains, rivers and glaciers throughout the Selkirk range. Blue cloth binding with gilt lettering and embellishments on spine. Bumped corners, tears in spine ends, spine faded, small ink stamp on lower edge of text block and front pastedown, library label rear pastedown, dents in fore-edges, some soiling to covers. Binding cracked at page 49.

A fascinating account of the 35 + loftiest peaks climbed by the author and his friends over the course of five summers. They contributed over 40 official place names to the features that they found. Numerous appendices include surveys of vegetation, glaciers, rock specimens and a list of 10,000 peaks climbed before 1913.
