London: New English Library. Near Fine in Fine dust jacket. 1979. First Edition. Hardcover. 0450039498 . Black boards with bright silver gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket, which is NOT price-clipped. There are very light smudges to the dustjacket covers, there is slight bumping to the bottom boards and there are light foxing (brown) spots to the endpapers. There are NO inscriptions or other marks. 141 pp. Illustrated throughout with colour plates and fold out illustrations. Bibliography. Overall, apart from the minor 'faults', as detailed above, this is an Excellent, Very Clean, Tight and Bright, Near 'FINE' copy. "Movable Books recreates the beauty and captivation of mechanical books through its splendid illustrations, and evokes some of the magic experienced and still remembered by an earlier generation of youthful readers." Note that this book is overweight and very heavy at 1.75Kg and MAY require extra postage depending on your location. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
