First US Edition/First Printing with the correct code to the copyright page; A Fine book in a Near Fine dust jacket. A Fantastic copy of this look at Hemingway's life in Paris in the twenties; scarce in this condition. This copy is in Fine condition with a square, tight binding, bright gold lettering and design over clean grey and rust boards, and bright white pages throughout; only slight rubbing to the board edges is present. Housed in a crisp and bright near fine dust jacket that shows only some light rubbing and miniscule chipping to the spine ends and corners, and a couple of faint, short scratches to the panels, one to the spine and one near the top of the front cover. Overall, one of the nicest copies available in today's marketplace; an important addition to any Hemingway collection. Not remaindered, not price clipped ($4.95 intact), not ex-library; in a protective Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.
Synopsis
A Moveable Feast is a set of memoirs by American author Ernest Hemingway about his years in Paris as part of the American expatriate circle of writers in the 1920s. In addition to painting a picture of Hemingway's time as a struggling young writer, the book also sketches the story of Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley. Published after his death, A Moveable Feast is considered by many to contain some of his best writing.
