Bound in publisher's red cloth, gilt lettering imprinted to spine. Glossy color dj features art of Douglas Walters. Red endpapers with subtly patterned "Ash-Tree Press" repeated throughout. Xxxvi pp prelim material, 223 numbered pp, nine wo/numbers following. Intro by Rockhill, "A note concerning the texts", b&w photos, 12 tales, publication history of Le Fanu's supernatural fiction published during his lifetime, sources, colophon and (helpfully), a four page list of Ash-Tree Press "Titles Published" 1994-2005, including forthcoming titles. Condition notes: A fine, clean, square, unmarked copy, with light wear to boards; dj similarly lightly worn, but is reduced to 'good' condition by the presence of a noticeable horizontal scratch across the midsection of the front. Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
