Book is bound in bright green cloth with black titles, only real flaw is a tiny previous owner's signature on the front pastedown. Dust jacket has originall price ($2.00 net) intact on upper corner of front flap, light wear at extremities, but bright and unfaded. Scarce thus. .

NY: Knopf. G. 1933. 1st Amer ed. Green binding, dark brown lettering and bands. Spine tanned, edge wear, small bookseller's label bottom front endpaper . (Dartmouth Bookstall Inc. Boston), side fore-edge some spotting. Alfred Snowe who lived alone in Little Straightway was found dead in his front hallway by his nephew. He had marks on his throat after he had apparently come down in his nightwear to investigate a sound. The next morning a letter is received by a law firm announcing that Alfred had made an amazing discovery the day before. A crack detective firm is called and an unusual book is discovered missing. .
