New York: Alfred A Knopf, 1936. Coxe's first mystery novel, introducing Kent Murdock and Jack Fenner. Basis for the 1936 Charles Barton movie starring Lew Ayres and Gail Patrick with bit parts by future familiar TV faces William Hopper and Milburn Stone. Bumped and rubbed with a touch of wear and fraying at the corners and spine ends. Spine a bit darkened and slightly cocked, foxing to the edges of the text block and end papers with a small piece of sticker residue on the front free end paper. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
