About This Item
New York: Dell, 1994. First Printing, First Paperback Edition. . Mass Market Paperback. Very Good to Near Fine. Dell mass market paperback. The tenth novel in the award-winning Valin's noir mystery-crime series featuring Cincinnati private detective, Harry Stoner. This time Stoner's hired to find 35 priceless vinyl records stolen from a collector's vast collections and finds instead a group of eccentric music lovers, some of them crazy, some of them criminal enough to play with blackmail and murder. Dime-sized shadow of price-sticker on front cover, o/w covers show only light reading crease on spine and very minimal surface and edge wear. Text is clean and unmarked, tight and square. A very nice copy of this late work by a generally under-appreciated writer.
