Toronto: McClelland and Stewart Limited, 1976. Paperback. Very good. xviii, 19-126p. 23 cm. Pictorial paperback binding with author photograph on back cover. Signature of author on half-title page along with another inscription from previous owner. Newspaper clipping of author taped to back acknowledgments page. Some staining to front cover and along edges near top corners. Front cover creased. Staining to inside of back cover due to newspaper clipping at the back of the book. Text is clear and unmarked. Very good condition.

Irving Layton (1912-2002) as a Canadian poet born of Romanian immigrants. Layton's direct style and activism led to his introduction into popular Canadian culture in the mid-twentieth century with appearances on the CBC. His poetry is known for its sexual eroticism, direct language, and political awareness.
