The author (1875-1945) looks back on his career & most memorable cases as a prosecutor for the District Attorney's office in New York city, lawyer, & mystery writer, in 520 pages, with Index. A FIRST EDITION, likely a slightly later printing (no "A"), this hardcover book has green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to front & spine. Condition is solidly Good: generally very clean, Binding secure, but rear hinge is cracked. Mottled spots & rubbing/edgewear to exterior. Inside, some foxing to front endpapers, else completely clean, pages off-white with mild tanning around edges. Former owner's name inside front cover, old address label to verso of ffep. No DJ.
