London, Vizetelly & Co, 1888.. Large octavo, 340pp, illustrated, original cloth boards, bit worn and stained, some light foxing, a very good copy.. Mario Uchard was a French writer in the mid 1800s. He wrote the well-known romantic, erotic novel Mon Oncle Barbassou (1877). The title has also been translated as French and Oriental Love in a Harem, or A Frenchman in Mohammeds Harem.
