London: Methuen, 1946. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's green boards with red lettering to the front board and spine and with a vignette of a magnifying glass and thumb print to the front board. A bookseller's ticket to the front paste-down otherwise a near fine copy in like D/W with a short closed tear at the head of the spine neatly repaired on the verso with archival tape. A lovely copy and quite scarce in this condition. Photographs/scans available upon request.
