Binding rubbed and worn at the extremities; front board has been tastefully reattached; the leather at the rear joint is separating but the board remains fairly solid; some splitting to the leather at the spine; bookseller's ticket on the bottom of the front pastedown; some bookseller's pencil notation on the front endpapers, otherwise clean. All in all a solid and fairly appealing copy despite the wear. Text in Greek and Latin. ESTC R3100.

Added are the fables of Babrius, Avianus, Phaedrus, and Abstemius, and an attempt has been made by the editor to lift the fable literature from the level of the schoolbook to that of an entertainment for adults. ...
