Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1942. Hardcover. Stated "First Edition, Published May 1942." 5.75 x 8.75in. xiv. 497pp. Publisher's cloth boards. NEAR FINE in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable archival cover. The book itself shows the extremities marginally shelf rubbed, else Fine/As New. The dust jacket shows the spine typically faded but remains visible and legible, edges marginally shelf rubbed with two very short closed tears and hints of loss, a longer closed tear at the topmost of the spine which presents well underneath the mylar, price-clipped, otherwise remains bright, colorful, and distinct. As pictured.
Synopsis
A collection of Greek and Roman myths arranged in sections on the gods and early heroes, love and adventure stories, the Trojan War, and a brief section on Norse mythology.
