Tall 8vo. 6, 40; 41-66 pp., w/ 330 tipped-in embossed rubber samples mounted on thick printed card stock, w/ company logo and embossing pattern at upper fore-edge, each sample with printed stock number and width listed below. Original black vinyl 4-ring binders, white lettering on front covers & spine, hand-written coded order sheets tucked into front mylar pockets on inside covers (minor shelfwear), NF set. First edition of these scarce and unusual sample catalogues filled with mid-century rubber embossing pattern roll samples. These embossed rolls were used to add textures and patterns to paper, plastic film, metal foil, textiles, leather, and even glass. These patterns are filled with mid-century Modern aesthetic, including star-bursts, space planet patterns, circles, squares, chevrons, sample patterns to simulate leather, crocodile skin, and much more.
