About This Item

New York: Harpercollins Publisher, 1985. Book. Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 9 1/2 h x 6w. A nice 192 page first edition hardcover with 1 low in number line. Has just a little general wear and is very nice. Has a black & white photo section near center. Napoleon's invasion of Russia is one of the most dramatic events in history. It occupied only six months, June to December 1812, and during that period nearly half a million men died. At the start Napoleon was at the height of his power. At the end he faced the destruction of his empire. He had lost the greatest campaign he ever attempted and the largest army he ever commanded. Why did he invade Russia? Why, in spite of his early successes and the capture of Moscow, did he fail?.

About Warren's Books

I have been selling books since 1976. I am not a mega-lister that just types in an ISBN and paste a message of how great I am or how many books we\I sell. I list each book carefully trying to tell the faults and positives of our book. Most of the time I will tell what the book is about and list if it a first edition, hardcover or has a dust jacket. Photos of books are usually my scan and not a stock photo. If you have any questions, please ask. If you decide to pay with check or money order, please make it out to Warren Hahn, That's me!! I have about 5,200 books online with another 200 to list.
