Harper, 1997-09-05. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Stated "First Edition" with number line ending in a "1", with no blind stamp on rear panel, but the jacket is unpriced(?). 888 pp, 32 pp of illustrtions , and 20 maps. The volume is is bumped and abraded on the bottom front corner, and the faciung panels have spporadic soiling. The sleeve protected dust jacket has just faint wear.
