Boston: Houghton Mifflin. Complete in 8 Volumes. First Edition. Original brown cloth. Signature in ink of Arthur Pierce Middleton (dated May 1938), who studied under Samual Eliot Morison at Harvard and wrote Tobacco Coast. Fraying at head and foot of spines, some bookplates removed (not unsightly), starting and cracking inside some covers (covers still tight), offset on a few leaves from newspaper articles laid in, Good Pus. This set is still very useful. Please inquire before purchase about shipping costs. . Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1889.
