Octavo. ). xxvii, 416 pages, 18 page index, with folding 4 panel map of Abyssinia, translated from the Portuguese and edited with notes and an introduction by Lord Stanley of Alderley. The earliest and the fullest of Ethiopia, and the only one which refers to the period wars of 1527-42, which opened the way for the Gallic invasions of the 16th century. Bound in blue cloth, spine lettering gilt. A very nice near fine copy.
