Houghton Mifflin Company, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good-. Signed. First printing. SIGNED and dated by Wendell Berry on the title page. The volume is bumped at the spine ends and has a crease on the front endpaper. The unclipped dust jacket is soiled, rubbed at the base of the spine (the "HO" in HOUGHTON hs been rubbed away), and edge worn to include wrinkling at the top front corner and a 3/16" closed tear at the base of the rear panel. The jacket is now protected in mylar.
