Offered is "NATIONAL END THE WAR WEEK: AMNESTY - RECONSTRUCTION - January 8-16 [1977]" - a pamphlet with a laid-in poster and flyer, as issued - published in 1976 by the National Council for Universal and Unconditional Amnesty (NCUUA) out of New York City. A left-folded publication measuring 7" by 8-1/2" and containing eight pages including front and rear covers; with laid-in handbill printed on both sides and measuring 8-1/2" by 14" as well as a laid-in glossy poster printed on one side and also measuring 8-1/2" by 14" (both issued with this publication). The poster is headlined "Why amnesty for all?" and features portrait photos of David Minugh ("Why Amnesty For David Minugh?" etc.); Gerry Condon; Marvin Wilson; and Steven Osterlund; and illustration of Jane Kennedy ("She damaged draft files and de-magnetized tapes used to make napalm"). The handbill is entitled We call on Carter to grant: AMNESTY FOR ALL! ("A friend of poor & minority people? - Who's left out?"). The pamphlet focuses on the upcoming National End the War Week ("This publication is a guide to action") and includes Christmas 1972 - Christmas 1976: The Case for Total Amnesty by Jack Calhoun ("Four years ago, beginning on December 18, the Nixon Administration shocked the entire world with one of its most barbaric tactics used in the war in Southeast Asia. Hospitals, schools, residential areas, and factories in northern Vietnam were left in rubbles by massive carpet bombing"); The Case for Reconstruction; Working With the Media; list of contacts (NCUUA members, Vietnam veterans, draft resisters, Gold Star Mothers; retired military; people involved with Vietnam and peace organizations; activists who traveled to North and South Vietnam); Calendar of Events from December 1976 through February 1977. Condition: name and address of recipient printed to rear page; staple hole to each page (publication was stapled for mailing purposes)..
