The Nature of Gothic, A Chapter of the Stones of Venice. Kelmscott Press, 1892. One of 500 copies. 8vo. Printed in Golden type. Woodcut border on opening page; nine 10-line woodcut initials & numerous 6-line ones, 19 architectural figures in the text.

Original stiff vellum with yapp edges, spine lettered in gilt, uncut. Green linen ties, one detached and laid in. Vellum bright with virtually no imperfections. Two bookplates, one which has left an impression on first blank page hardly taking from the beauty of this near perfect volume.
