New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1958. Fifth printing, 1958. Illustrated study of the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Illustrated throughout the text in black and white with a color frontis, plus 413 black and white plates, many with floor plans. Light orange cloth lettered in silver gilt, 143 pages plus plates. Covers lightly rubbed at the extremities, good hinges, sound text block, small darkened areas to the top and bottom of each free endpaper (offset from tape that was on the original dustjacket cover), pages clean, no names or other markings. The new mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [12.00] and has some age-toning and light soil, several closed edge tears, small chip to the spine head, fairly little paper loss. Sections include: Chicago Architecture in the Eighties and J. L. Silsbee; Sullivan's Maturity and Wright's Work with Sullivan; Wright's Independent Work Before 1893; The Maturing of Wright; The Prairie Houses; Non-Domestic Work; From the Middle West to Japan and California; Textile Block Houses and Projects and Cantilevered Skyscraper Projects; and Projects of the Depression Years and Current Revival of Activity. .
