About This Item

London:: Newnes,, 1942.. First edition.. Hardcover. Near Fine/very good. 192pp, illustrated. Contents clean and fresh, with a very neat 1943 gift inscription to the front free endpaper. Top edge red, in the original binding of red cloth over thin boards, bright and clean, titled in gilt to front and spine. Tiny pale specks to lower part of upper board. In the protected price-clipped pictorial dust jacket. This is bright and attractive, with no tears. There is a little foxing around the spine and to the top edge of the lower panel, and some of the pale areas around the spine are lighter than they should be - as some of the pigment has been nibbled away by silverfish! However, this has little effect on the lively wraparound cover image. A very attractive copy.

Synopsis

The Naughtiest Girl Again is the second book in The Naughtiest Girl series of novels by Enid Blyton. In this book Elizabeth Allen is in her second term at Whyteleafe School, an independent boarding school. She makes two enemies, Robert and Kathleen, who become her friends later in the series. Elizabeth does not want to misbehave again, but someone tries to make sure that she does not forget her nickname of 'the Naughtiest Girl in the school'.

About Chapel Books

I sell books from a large disused Chapel next to the village duck pond, where I have lived about 40 years: just inland from Dunwich and between Southwold and Aldeburgh. I open 7 days a week, 12-5.
