Volumes I through XI are all in fine to near fine conditions in dark blue cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spines. Each is a small quarto of 9 3/8 by 6 3/4 inches. Vol. #6 shows mild foxing to the edges of the text block. Vol. #8 shows several white marks to the rear board and two, what may be insect stains to the lower edge of the text block. Otherwise, the contents of all volumes are clean, tight and damage free. Without dust jackets as issued. Vol. #1 contains a forward by John F. Kennedy & all subsequent volumes (except #4) have forwards by the then sitting Presidents. The forward for Vol #4 is by the then secretary of the Navy, John H. Chafee. Each volume is approximately 1,500 pages including indexes to primary source documents from the Revolutionary period running from 1774 to 1776.
