[26.9 cm.] Large chips to spine leather; loss also to small portion of leather on rear board; boards soiled and leather peeling in places; front board bowed; corners worn. Front hinge cracked at ends, but holding well enough at center. Rear hinge cracked and board is holding by cords. Interior is in very good condition. There is a thin marginal tideline throughout, usually very faint, and a few minor traces of foxing or soiling. In want of a sympathetic rebacking, but suitable for a reading copy as is.
