Illustrated throughout with frontispiece and twelve plates with one fold-out plate to the rear. Collated complete. A biological study of Lord Nelson, a British flag officer in the Royal Navy. His inspirational leadership, grasp of strategy, and unconventional tactics brought about a number of decisive British naval victories during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest naval commanders in history. Written by Carola Oman, an English historical novelist, biographer and children's writer. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
