Black half calf binding on spine and corners, pebbled brown cloth boards, gilt lettering on spine, five raised bands, faded marbled edge of text block, marbled end papers. Condition of the book is VERY GOOD: Wear to spine esp. cover edge, wear and some light soiling to covers esp. bottom corners, a couple of scratches. Edge of text block faded, lightly darkened on top. Marbled end papers very brilliant, title page shows soling and some repair as do first three pages, pages of text clean, binding tight.

He has a BFA in illustration and design, an MA in art history and he mostly creates miniature books. This book is an homage to the famed ancient library at Alexandria, Egypt, which ceased to exist by the end of the Third century CE and contains miniature books (scrolls) in several languages

Cornelis Schrevel was a 17th-century Dutch scholar and while he was a physician, he is most known for his 'Lexicon'. This Greek-Latin dictionary was designed to aid in writing, grammar, and translations from Latin to Greek with both Greek and Latin languages. This 1685 edition is a first edition published by Hayes in Cambridge.

Noah Webster sought to create a purely 'American' culture that was independent of British claim, he achieved this by creating his dictionary – a work that helped distance American grammar and linguistics from that of Britain. Webster's 'Speller' went through nearly 400 editions in his lifetime alone and was nicknamed the 'Blue Black Speller'.
