About This Item
US: Binfords & Mort, 1940. First Edition. Hardback. Good +/Good +. First Edition. Map of Nevada included in sleeve at rear paste down. Red cloth over boards with gilt particulars and two lines to spine and front board. Previous book store's sticker to lower edge of first free endpaper and light scattered soiling to a few pages throughout; otherwise, text is unmarked. Text block is lightly tanned with one spot of foxing to lower edge. Boards are clean with small spot of scuffing and discoloration to rear board, bumping to corners and ends of spine, and slight black discoloration to edge where spine meets rear board. Map has dampstain to top edge, but is otherwise clean and unmarked. Binding is sound, boards bow heavily outward at top edge. Dust jacket has soiling and foxing to rear cover and crease along edge where spine meets front cover. Creasing, rubbing, chipping and closed tears to edges, corners and ends of spine. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.
