About This Item

London: Cambridge at the University Press, 1957. First English Edition . Hardcover (with Dust Jacket). Very Good. 8vo (625 pages, notes, index). An excellent general reference on “a period of changing alliances and limited and gentlemanly but frequent wars [giving] particular weight to the emergence of Prussia and Russia as European Powers and to the rivalry of France and England in America.” A very good copy, in worn price-clipped dust jacket with several closed tears, gilt lettering on spine bright, boards slightly shelf-worn, contents clean and bright, binding sound.
