About This Item
Oakland, Maine: New England Music Camp, 1955. Very good. Minor toning, bumps to corners.. A grouping of ephemera related to the New England Music Camp spanning the years 1939 and 1955, including five (5) printed programs (each approx. 6.25" by 4") and one (1) photographically illustrated advertising brochure (9" by 6", pp. [12], in original printed wrappers). The brochure includes photos of the camp grounds, happy campers performing in the band and orchestra, and a variety of recreation including water sports and horseback riding. Camp fees and suggested packing lists are included, as well as a tear-away mail-order application. The New England Music Camp (NEMC) was founded in 1937 by Dr. Paul E. Wiggin and his wife Nina as a non-profit summer camp devoted to cultivating music education among children and teens. It is still in operation today, and is still directed by Wiggin family members.
