Three-quarters red leather and maroon cloth with leather corners, gilt letters, gilt top edges, 338 pp., 171 BW plates. #16 of 250 copies printed. A classic history of Colonial America. Many of the illus. are facsimiles of title pages and primary documents or signatures. Fiske died in 1901, before he had a chance to fully complete, proofread, and edit this manuscript.
