New York: Taintor Brothers and Co., 1884 Good-/No Jacket. Blind-stamped decorative maroon cloth, with maroon leather spine; gilt spine lettering. With few "new and original" illustrations. Cover extremities very heavily worn; cloth at front cover corners worn to boards; covers lightly rubbed; gilt spine lettering somewhat rubbed. Lengthy prior owner name, address, age in pencil covering front endpaper. Page 430 bears remnants of erased pencil scribbling. Otherwise clean and tight.
