Reeve. 288 pages, 5.5 X 7.75 inches. Previous owner ink scription on the front free endpaper, dated 1936. A good copy with one corner damaged and repaired, and a short split at the head of the spine.. Reprint.

Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1928. Hardcover (no jacket, printed boads), first edition, good condition. Boards are worn with surface marks, nicks to the spine ends and corners and the rear spine edge is starting to split. Hinges are split and the frontispiece is loose. Foxing throughout but the text remains perfectly legible and clear. DP. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good. Used.

Frontis plate has been badly torn and now has tape repairs on vesro and a small hole to centre. Pencil scribbles erased from title-page. One plate missing and one has large section torn off (and missing) from lower corner. Contents foxed and fingered.
