New York J. B. Ford, 1872, hardcover. Second printing 1873. These letters were contributed to the New York Times, and include visits to Chicago, Colorado describing the Rockies and mines, Utah, California, mostly traveling by railroad. -- Hardcover, brown with bright gold and black decoration. Condition: good only (spine tips and corners little worn and bumped;binding bit weak). -- Grace Greenwood (pseudonym of Sara Jane Clarke Lippincott) was a feminist activist, poet, published anti-slavery and women's rights essays, wrote children's books, as well as travel letters [Feminist Companion to Literature].
