About This Item

Faber, London, 1997. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. The first UK Edition (first printing), utilizing the same translation as the US edition and yet considerably more uncommon. 8vo. 296pp. Blue boards lettered in cream at the spine. Spine ends a little rubbed with two or three tiny touches of spotting to the top edge and a light entirely superficial crease to the half-title. Printed on very slightly substandard paperstock which is now just a fraction tanned, yet still a very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper with a little corresponding wear to the spine panel ends, a touch of wear to one or two corner tips, two tiny tears, and two creases to the front flap. The Nobel Laureate's fifth novel (the third to be translated into English), reportedly the fastest selling book in Turkish history at the time of publication..
