[Washington], 1850. 13pp. Dbd. Light foxing. Very good. In a half morocco and cloth folding case, spine gilt. An early and significant government report on proceedings held in New Mexico in late 1849 that paved the road to its establishment as an American territory. Describes proposed executive, legislative, and judicial powers, and the general framework of goverment. The names of the delegates are listed. New Mexico became a territory of the United States in September, 1850, a little more than six months after this document was printed, but it would not become a state until 1912.
