About This Item

New York: Flying Dutchman Productions, Ltd., 1970. The mass murder of unarmed South Vietnamese civilians, including women and children, by US troops in two hamlets of S?n M? village on March 16, 1968 has been called the most shocking episode of the Vietnam War. Twenty-six soldiers were charged with criminal offences, but only Lieutenant William Calley Jr., a platoon leader in C Company, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment although he only served three and a half years under house arrest. This is a recording of disc jockey Omar Rosko’s reading of Hamill’s 1969 article on the subject in the New York Post. It was produced by Bob Thiele. LP recording, stereo. Printed on the inside cover are a commentary by Nat Hentoff and biographies of Hamill & Rosko. (light soiling to album covers). dola2133
